 Shipping Information

We use FEDEX Ground shipping unless otherwise agreed with our customer. We offer expedited shipping at a negotiated discounted rates. We do not add any handling fees. For warm weather shipping, a surcharge for ice and insulating items applies per package.We usually ship Monday to Friday. Orders received after 1pm PST Friday and anytime Saturday and Sunday will ship on Monday or the next available business day. Occasionally we may delay shipping to prevent your order from being held in a shipping warehouse. Gourmet House Market is not responsible for packages left out in the heat after delivery. Please ensure that someone will be available to accept your delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Our company is based in the USA and unfortunately we do not ship to Canada or any other country at this time. 

 

Q: Can you ship chocolate during warm weather or to warmer parts of the country, like California?

A: Yes, we can ship during warm weather and to warm climates in the U.S. all year long. Our shipping system monitors the temperatures where your package is being delivered and selects the appropriate packing material such as cooler boxes and frozen gel packs to ensure that your gift arrives in perfect condition. For warm weather shipping, a surcharge applies per package. At times of shipping, when the temperature is expected to exceed 85 degrees in transit, it may be necessary to ship your order via a 2 days or overnight service. We will seek your approval prior to shipping via air or other premium service as additional charges for expedited shipping may apply. To limit time in transit and prevent your chocolates from melting, orders only ship over the weekend when temperatures are below 70° F.

 

Q: When should I place my order?

A: Regular online orders will be shipped within 2 days of the order. During the busy holiday season, order lead time will increase up to 5 business days prior to shipping. As soon as the item is shipped, we will provide you with a shipping confirmation and a tracking number.

 

Q: Will I receive a shipping confirmation?

A: Yes. When your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation to your email address including the tracking number for each shipment. If you need to make changes to your order, contact us immediately.

 

Q: Do you offer volume discounts?

A: Please call us for bulk corporate orders, special discounts may apply.

 

Q: Can Gourmet House Market take care of large corporate orders?A: We value your business the same way you value your relationship with customers and employees. With convenience kept in mind, we can help with all your business needs. We make the process of gift giving personal, easy and reliable. We offer free consultation to determine the best gift options and customization possibilities. Once your choice of gifts is determined, just email us your complete spreadsheet and we will do the rest! We look forward helping you to select the perfect gift that best suits your needs.

 

Q: Are your products Kosher?

A: Some of our products are certified Kosher. Please check the nutritional information of each select product and call us if you have any doubts.

 

Q: Are your products nut-free?

A: No. Most of our products are made in areas where nuts and nut residues may be found. 

 

Q: How should I store foods that are purchased?

A: Your foods should be stored in a dry and cool environment. Room temperature should not exceed 75 degrees Fahrenheit and realtive humidity should remain below 50%. Avoid heat, humidity, odors and direct sunlight. No refrigeration is needed. 

 

Q: What is the return policy of Gourmet House Market?

A: We are fully committed to your satisfaction. We value our customers and base our marketing strategy on past clients telling their friends and family about us. We inspect our products with extreme accuracy before shipping and we stand behind our products 100%. If you are not completely satisfied with the condition of your order upon arrival, please contact Customer Service within 14 days of receipt for assistance. Allowed returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fees unless the cause of return is a product defect. All returns must be in the original form and packaging. 

 

Q: What are your business hours?

A: We are available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm Easten Standard Time. We are closed Saturdays, Sundays and Major Holidays.

Q: Do you charge sales tax?

A: We charge sales tax for orders shipped to CT at the rate of 6.35% except if cutomer is entitled for a tax exemption.
